About Dayfare Editorial
Dayfare Editorial is the team behind Dayfare, the travel expense tracker for iPhone. We write the Dayfare Blog: practical guides to what travel costs, how paying abroad works, and how to keep to a daily budget.
How we research a guide
- Primary sources first. Prices, fees and rules come from official sources wherever they exist: government and tourism agencies, transport operators, banks and card networks, and each provider's own pricing pages.
- Every guide lists its sources. The Sources section at the end of each post links to what we used, so you can check the numbers yourself.
- Ranges, not false precision. Prices change. Where they vary by season, city or provider, we give a typical range and say what moves it.
Dates on every post
Each guide shows three dates:
- Prices and rules last verified: the day we last checked the facts against the sources.
- Updated: the last time the post changed in a meaningful way.
- Published: when the post first went live.
When a rule or price changes, we update the post and its dates rather than publishing a new one.
Independence
Guides don't contain affiliate links, and no company pays to be mentioned. When a post names a provider, a card or an app, it is an example, and others exist. Each post ends with a short note about the Dayfare app.
Corrections
If you spot something wrong or out of date, tell us through Dayfare Support. We check the source, fix the post, and update its verified date.
